In the 19th minute Emanuel Garoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Bastia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Dunixi came free, but Ildefonso Bastia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Garoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Bastia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Emanuel Garoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ildefonso Bastia having to make a save. Ildefonso Bastia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Garoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melquiades Omero hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Emanuel Garoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ildefonso Bastia. Arroyito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Garoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, Emanuel Garoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Bastia came out of the goal and Emanuel Garoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Genaro Berbiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arroyito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. 44 minutes into the game, one of Arroyito FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Brais to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gilberto Dunixi hit a great ball. If Emanuel Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Garoa got free with Ildefonso Bastia in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 0-3 became the score in the 60th minute when Emanuel Garoa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Garoa in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Bastia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Arroyito FC defense, Emanuel Garoa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Bastia. The Arroyito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Bastia should have stopped the shot. When Gilberto Dunixi came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the La Scaloneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Dunixi couldn't finish the play. If Emanuel Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Dunixi to maneuver through the defense. Ildefonso Bastia made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Anacleto Lauro sent off a good shot on target. Lolo Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Ortle in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes La Scaloneta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonathan Brais who took care of the corner kick. Jonathan Brais's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Lolo Lorenzo on his right side and into the goal. 83 minutes into the game it was 1-4. Emanuel Garoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ildefonso Bastia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Scaloneta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
