Carabata Groove's Nereo Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Hug in the 16th minute of play. Jonatan Gonsalvo's late challenge caught a 1947 FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonatan Gonsalvo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Carabata Groove's Jonatan Gonsalvo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Nereo Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Artal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 24 in the game by Carlos Arnas from a close distance when the talented Pedro Orlondon managed to make a qualified save. 1947 FC's players were relieved. Nereo Ihazintu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nico Bonachea struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Nereo Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1947 FC. A collision led to Carabata Groove getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fernando Cordero hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Americo Artal managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1947 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Americo Artal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Ihazintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Americo Artal notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Carabata Groove's Nereo Ihazintu. Nereo Ihazintu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Arnas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enzo Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Orlondon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as 1947 FC's Americo Artal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nereo Ihazintu. That made the score 0-7 after 60 minutes of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Rafael Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carabata Groove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Efren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Americo Artal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nereo Ihazintu. Americo Artal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Nico Bonachea took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nereo Ihazintu. Nereo Ihazintu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Nereo Ihazintu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rosendo Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Orlondon having to interfere. Nereo Ihazintu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Americo Artal sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, 1947 FC's Zeledon Hug got a free kick in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the game, Americo Artal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nereo Ihazintu.
