The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Lomas de Zamora FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Paulo Lorencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardiff City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Lorencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Galo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Galo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Efraim in the 12th minute of the match. Marcos Galo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Efraim in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Esteban Vimaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardiff City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Vimaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Galo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22ndth minute of the game Oscar Blai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lomas de Zamora FC's Marcos Galo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Lázaro Efraim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Galo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Marcos Galo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Blai in the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Oscar Blai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 34 minutes, Eduardo Odon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardiff City FC and the Lomas de Zamora FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cardiff City FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eduardo Odon hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Baltasar Bertin got a free kick in the 37th minute. Vladimiro Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Nicholas in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Cardiff City FC's Oscar Blai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Galo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Tiburcio Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Cardiff City FC's Paulo Lorencio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lomas de Zamora FC. Marcos Galo came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Cardiff City FC's Oscar Blai. But to his dismay, Oscar Blai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raul Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Blai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Galo. That made the score 0-6 in the 56 minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Eduardo Odon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Galo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lázaro Efraim might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Galo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Efraim ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edgard Salvator fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomas de Zamora FC's protests and gave Edgard Salvator a yellow card for diving instead. Marcos Galo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Blai in the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Lomas de Zamora FC's goalkeeper Marcos Galo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Blai. When Artemio Patrido fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomas de Zamora FC's protests and gave Artemio Patrido a yellow card for diving instead. Artemio Patrido kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Lomas de Zamora FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Edgard Salvator hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Blai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Galo. That made the score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. Oscar Blai's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Marcos Galo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 87th minute Lázaro Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Galo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Galo was a little too slow when Benedicto Orlondo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-8.
