Jacinto Frascuelo made a great header on Merengue FC's corner, it was just that Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo managed to reach the ball for a save. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Lorencio in the 29th minute of play. Domingo Jago kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 35thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Cardiff City FC's keeper Vladimiro Leobardo was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingo Jago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Jago came free, but Vladimiro Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Jago in the 82nd minute of play. Paulo Lorencio hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cardiff City FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Leobardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
