An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Orlanda in the 3rd minute of play forced Azulgrana 81's goalkeeper Alvaro Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paul Horring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Şentürk Temel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azulgrana 81's Şentürk Temel got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chivos getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mauricio Adrio hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Remigio Bingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azulgrana 81's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Bingen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Garin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chivos's Ulises Garin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Chivos from getting a goal against them. The Chivos fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Chivos's Jose Orlanda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th play minute Gláuber Bertassi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulises Garin. 1-1. Alvaro Karmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Orlanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Azulgrana 81 defense, Jose Orlanda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Karmel. The Azulgrana 81 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Karmel should have stopped the shot. If Gláuber Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40thth minute of the game Şentürk Temel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivos's Ulises Garin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şentürk Temel in the 44th minute of play forced Chivos's goalkeeper Ulises Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Orlanda took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Karmel. Alvaro Karmel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Azulgrana 81 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chivos were winning 1-3.

In the 53rd minute, Şentürk Temel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute, Paul Horring made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Garin. Chivos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The supporters of Chivos booed when Azulgrana 81 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şentürk Temel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Jose Orlanda took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Alvaro Karmel to make any attempt to save it. 70 minutes into the game, Mauricio Adrio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chivos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azulgrana 81 the free kick. Mauricio Adrio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Gláuber Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azulgrana 81's protests and gave Gláuber Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Şentürk Temel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Garin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. 83 minutes into the game, Azulgrana 81's Remigio Bingen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Garin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. Şentürk Temel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Remigio Bingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ulises Garin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şentürk Temel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Azulgrana 81 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
