Ulises Garin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ulises Garin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teodosio Bermund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Ulises Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Garin was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Teodosio Bermund capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teodosio Bermund really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Cayetano Emenon put in a rough tackle. 19 minutes into the game, one of Stellenbosch:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ulises Garin made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Eleuterio Nalo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Nalo got free with Ulises Garin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eleuterio Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Emilio Tauro scored 3-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Salvidor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Chivos's goalkeeper Ulises Garin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eleuterio Nalo. 4-2 became the score in the 39th minute when Eleuterio Nalo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Stellenbosch's Florentino Ferrer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Stellenbosch's Nicanor Cedro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulises Garin. That made the score 6-2 after 45 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nicanor Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Garin having to interfere. Ulises Garin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentino Ferrer went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score. Rodolfo Innocenzio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Orlanda in the 67th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Bernardino Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Chivos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Valery to maneuver through the defense. Ulises Garin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Bermund, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Chivos defense, Eleuterio Nalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulises Garin. The Chivos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulises Garin should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chivos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stellenbosch.
