If Generoso Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Darien in the 12th minute of play forced Chivos's goalkeeper Ulises Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Chivos's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Galindo came free, but Ulises Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Gaudencio Darien left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFTER GYM FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ulises Garin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Galindo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The supporters of AFTER GYM FC booed when Chivos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Ebardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gaudencio Darien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Edelmiro Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Chivos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Gaztea to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Chivos defense, Edelmiro Galindo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulises Garin. The Chivos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulises Garin should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute of the match Chivos got a corner. AFTER GYM FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Orlanda ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jose Orlanda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AFTER GYM FC's Ricardo Mosen did a great save. With a little luck, AFTER GYM FC's Ricardo Mosen got control of the ball when Emilio Tauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edelmiro Galindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for AFTER GYM FC. Benigno Bidun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ulises Garin. 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edelmiro Galindo to strike the kick off in the second half. Ulises Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Galindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Edelmiro Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Galindo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulises Garin. Ulises Garin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Venancio Kaiet kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 62 minutes of play, Chivos's Emilio Tauro made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Mosen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 66 minutes, Emilio Tauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Tauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Mosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Orlanda in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Chivos's Ulises Garin got control of the ball when Gaudencio Darien tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Emilio Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulises Garin was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Edelmiro Galindo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edelmiro Galindo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. In the 95th minute Clemente Felipillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, AFTER GYM FC's Edelmiro Galindo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulises Garin. Ulises Garin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8.
