Florentino Ferrer was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 21st match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Stellenbosch's Bernardino Salvidor got control of the ball when Gláuber Bertassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodosio Bermund struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Federico Frasquito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stellenbosch. It was beautiful to see Azulgrana 81's Pedro Casomiro in action when he in the 48th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şentürk Temel made a kick off. Pastor Mateo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Rodolfo Innocenzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Stellenbosch getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gervasio Perez hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Şentürk Temel made a precise shot to the right of Bernardino Salvidor. Federico Frasquito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Bernardino Salvidor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stellenbosch's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
