When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Damaso Benvido took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Gonzalo Darien to make any attempt to save it. 15 minutes into the match, Perico City Grup's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Aznaro came free, but Gonzalo Darien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Arixo in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Gimnasia y tiro getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eduardo Lehior hit a great ball. When Gimnasia y tiro's Bernardo Mingo in 21 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gonzalo Darien guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gonzalo Darien came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia y tiro's Bernardo Mingo. But to his dismay, Bernardo Mingo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Gonzalo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Benvido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonzalo Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Arixo in the 31st minute of the match. If Bernardo Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Cutberto couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Bernardo Mingo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gonzalo Darien. Perico City Grup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Mingo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Gimnasia y tiro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
