The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Perico got free with Gustav Wallengren in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Relja Jurišić fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peñaloza's protests and gave Relja Jurišić a yellow card for diving instead. Relja Jurišić kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Gustav Wallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Chumo in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Peñaloza's goalkeeper Gustav Wallengren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Perico. After the first half Peñaloza were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Artemio Lavalle took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Genaro Flor to make any attempt to save it. Artemio Lavalle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Genaro Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Relja Jurišić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genaro Flor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Peñaloza's Gustav Wallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Chumo in the 68th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Peñaloza got a freekick which was hit by Albano Ted. The supporters of Los Liquisue FC booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Relja Jurišić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute Artemio Lavalle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Ruben Ostargi got a free kick in the 89th minute. Gustav Wallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Los Liquisue FC's Paolo Obano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustav Wallengren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Peñaloza's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
