Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evelio Manilan started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Evelio Baristo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Di Maria in the 4th minute of play. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Angel Di Maria sped through Gladiadores's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Benigno Eriz scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Pero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 11 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Monico. Wilfredo Etxahun might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zacarias Pero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Etxahun ran back to his position shaking his head. Angel Di Maria spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gladiadores's goal. Benigno Eriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Di Maria in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Angel Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Pero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Gaspar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Mauro Perez notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the game, Mauro Perez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zacarias Pero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Mauro Perez notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Sporting de Gijón's Benigno Eriz in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gladiadores's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Florentino Gonchan hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Mauro Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias Pero. Gladiadores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Di Maria to strike the kick off in the second half. Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Perez in the 54th minute of play. Zacarias Pero made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Angel Di Maria sent off a good shot on target. Bonifacio Oliverio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Zacarias Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Oliverio to maneuver through the defense. Angel Di Maria's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zacarias Pero firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zacarias Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Eriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Benigno Erizs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Zacarias Pero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gladiadores's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Angel Di Maria scored to the left of an out of position Zacarias Pero, making the score, 0-7. Sporting de Gijón's Omar Etor was substituted for Bonifacio Oliverio. Zacarias Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Perez in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner. Gladiadores's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Perez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mauro Perez made a great header on Sporting de Gijón's corner, it was just that Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 81st minute, Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Angelo Bertins short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Zacarias Pero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gladiadores's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Perez was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting de Gijón's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez to fire away a dangerous shot which Zacarias Pero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Bertin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Zacarias Pero made a huge save. Zacarias Pero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Di Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Bertin got free with Zacarias Pero in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zacarias Pero came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez. But to his dismay, Mauro Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Sporting de Gijón's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
