In the 6th minute, Fernando Brion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Orlondon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Divorciados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Rodrigo Eli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Valery showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With 24 minutes on the clock, Cosme Mederi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Divorciados FC! When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Club Atletico Lanus's Rodrigo Eli got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nestor Valery. Domingos Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Orlondon having to make a save. Club Atletico Lanus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Eli in the 38th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Sixto Cortez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Leonides Orlondon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Ferdinand, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Divorciados FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Rodrigo Eli scored to the left of an out of position Nestor Valery, making the score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Honorio Pinto made the kick off in the second half. Leonides Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Marquez in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Divorciados FC defense, Rodrigo Eli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Valery. The Divorciados FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Valery should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Club Atletico Lanus booed when Divorciados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Valery came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Lanus's Sixto Cortez. But to his dismay, Sixto Cortez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Denis Salvidor's late challenge caught a Divorciados FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Salvidor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Divorciados FC's Benito Ferdinand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Orlondon. Leonides Orlondon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. Leonides Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeo Cebo succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-2. After having played for 87 minutes, Amadeo Cebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Cebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Cleto Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Eli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nestor Valery. Divorciados FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Club Atletico Lanus getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Denis Salvidor hit a great ball. A hard shot by Fernando Brion from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Leonides Orlondon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Club Atletico Lanus's Leonides Orlondon got control of the ball when Benito Ferdinand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Atletico Lanus's Leonides Orlondon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Lanus from getting a goal against them. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
