The audience was convinced that Ermegildo Sotil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Iruinea was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Q. T. I.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DirectorVisual.com:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernán Crespo got free with Paulo Txatxu in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DirectorVisual.com's Mauro Iruinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Sotil in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Severo Veronica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Q. T. I.'s Severo Veronica made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Iruinea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ermegildo Sotil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Iruinea having to interfere. DirectorVisual.com's Mauro Iruinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Sotil in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Sotil in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Iruinea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Txatxu made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Hernán Crespo sent off a good shot on target. Hernán Crespo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Paulo Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Iruinea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Veronica in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Q. T. I. were awarded a corner. Lisandro Lucila went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Lisandro Lucila got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauro Iruinea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The DirectorVisual.com players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Q. T. I. were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Sotil made a kick off. After some careless play in the DirectorVisual.com defense, Ermegildo Sotil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Iruinea. The DirectorVisual.com fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Iruinea should have stopped the shot. After 57 played minutes Q. T. I. got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Haitz. In the 59th minute Nestor Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Iruinea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Sotil in the 63rd minute. After 64 minutes DirectorVisual.com's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lisandro Lucila who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Q. T. I.'s corner Lisandro Lucila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mauro Iruinea quite easily take care of the ball. Hernán Crespo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Beto Alonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. Ermegildo Sotil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Iruinea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Q. T. I.'s Severo Veronica got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeo Erramu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Q. T. I. got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Stephen. When Beto Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the DirectorVisual.com fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Alonso couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, DirectorVisual.com was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pipo Gorosito to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Iruinea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ermegildo Sotil went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Q. T. I. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Q. T. I. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
