The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. After 7 minutes, Marcial Kismi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salmuera CP and the LOS MENTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcial Kismi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Emiliano Toribio got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Teodosio Isauro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to LOS MENTI getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Omar Cuartio hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Paulino Orixe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Isauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Salmuera CP fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Salmuera CP's Paulino Orixe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when LOS MENTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Walme didn't get a good kick on the ball. LOS MENTI's Teodosio Isauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Orixe in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Paulino Orixe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Teodosio Isauro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Salmuera CP were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fidel Mouricio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Teodosio Isauro made a huge save. LOS MENTI's Teodosio Isauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Orixe in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LOS MENTI's Ernesto Barbosa got a free kick in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Mouricio during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 68 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Walme came free, but Eloy Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, LOS MENTI's Paolo Ezkerra got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to LOS MENTI getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Everardo Tavio hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Paulino Orixe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, LOS MENTI's Geronimo Etxekopar got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Paulino Orixe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodosio Isauro. Paulino Orixe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Teodosio Isauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Joaquin Miliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Salmuera CP walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
