Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 8thth minute of the game Wilfredo Gitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaplan's René Higuita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Gitano took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised René Higuita. René Higuita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Kaplan defense, Wilfredo Gitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of René Higuita. The Kaplan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that René Higuita should have stopped the shot. Wilfredo Gitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Wilfredo Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Gitano got free with René Higuita in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st match minute, Jarana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Harriet to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Cordario scored 3-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martinez Maravilha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28thth minute of the game Wilfredo Gitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaplan's René Higuita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cris Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cris Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cris Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that René Higuita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Serafin Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Maravilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Kaplan got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Cordario. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Gitano in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. René Higuita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Gitano's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Harriet came free, but René Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Gitano in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 48th minute of the match Jarana FC got a corner. Kaplan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfredo Gitano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Harriet made a kick off. When Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jarana FC's goalie prevented a goal. Martinez Maravilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Wilfredo Gitano scored 5-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of René Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilfredo Gitano might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over René Higuita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Gitano ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaplan's René Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Fernendo in the 64th minute of play. René Higuita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Gitano's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Kaplan defense, Wilfredo Gitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of René Higuita. The Kaplan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that René Higuita should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Wilfredo Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jarana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Gitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. René Higuita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marciano Christobal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaplan's goalkeeper René Higuita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. René Higuita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Gitano's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 77th minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper René Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Gitano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. René Higuita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelio Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. René Higuita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Jarana FC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Jarana FC's Aurelio Harriet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 90 minutes Kaplan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilfredo Gitano who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jarana FC's Zeledon Hermon to fire away a dangerous shot which René Higuita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Gitano in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Higuita saved Kaplan from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Gitano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. René Higuita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jarana FC had played much better football throughout.
