Guillermo Sal scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Cordaryal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Virila in the 24th minute of play forced Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Clemente Cordaryal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Orlicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Fonda in the 25th minute of the match. Arnaldo Lore hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Zelaya's Alonzo Peruanton got a free kick in the 26th minute. Clemente Cordaryal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Lore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gwyn Lawson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Tigre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwyn Lawson couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Sixto Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Cordaryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Gwyn Lawson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tigre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Silvio Fonda's late challenge caught a Tigre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvio Fonda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Atlético Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Fonda to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Cordaryal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Lore in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Tigre were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Atlético Zelaya made a substitution. Benicio Ubelteso replaced Gustavo Bingen. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Guillermo Sal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Cordaryal. That made the score 0-7 in the 55 minute of play. Clemente Cordaryal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gwyn Lawson in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Tigre's Saverio Perpinya ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clemente Cordaryal. Clemente Cordaryal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Clemente Cordaryal made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Teofilo Virila sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwyn Lawson got free with Clemente Cordaryal in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tigre booed when Atlético Zelaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Fernado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Zelaya's Clemente Cordaryal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Zelaya from getting a goal against them. Clemente Cordaryal made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Arnaldo Lore sent off a good shot on target. When Cristian Mon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 74th match minute, Atlético Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Mon to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Clemente Cordaryal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Lore. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwyn Lawson in the 76th minute of play forced Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Clemente Cordaryal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saverio Perpinya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Cordaryal came out and tried to block the shot, but Saverio Perpinya slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Tigre's Gwyn Lawson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clemente Cordaryal. Clemente Cordaryal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. A collision led to Atlético Zelaya getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jeronimo Herena hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Benicio Iliana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Zelaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tigre the free kick. After 93 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Iliana. Guillermo Sal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Tigre's Saverio Perpinya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. When the final whistle sounded Tigre left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Zelaya.
