CA Juventud Unida's Carlos Naike shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabricio Chale but with some difficulty. Fabricio Chale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Gelacio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Robustiano Calvet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Behe, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goalkeeper Fabricio Chale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristobal Astudillo. Gregorio Belarmo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Fabricio Chale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Gelacio in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, German Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Naike struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Fabricio Chale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Juventud Unida. After 43 minutes, Tiburcio Tello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chimborazo A.F.C and the CA Juventud Unida players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robustiano Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Behe in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Procopio was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Honorato Ibon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fabricio Chale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th match minute, Chimborazo A.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Estefan to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Gelacio came free, but Fabricio Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Behe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Robustiano Calvet made a huge save. A collision led to Chimborazo A.F.C getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Arnulfo Procopio hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Honorato Ibon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabricio Chale was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 96th minute, Ricardo Gelacio made a precise shot to the right of Fabricio Chale. Chimborazo A.F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. CA Juventud Unida's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
