Chimborazo A.F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Camilo Berdaitz in the 7th minute. The corner ended in Camilo Berdaitz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Muchachos del 86's Ramiro Erasto did a great save. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Ramiro Erasto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Chimborazo A.F.C's Arnulfo Procopio in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Muchachos del 86's goalie prevented a goal. Ramiro Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Procopio in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Chimborazo A.F.C booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Chimborazo A.F.C's Zeledon Behe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiro Erasto. Ramiro Erasto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Ramiro Erasto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Behe in the 28th minute. With his leg Ramiro Erasto managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Chimborazo A.F.C's Zeledon Behe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Procopio in the 46th minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Ramiro Erasto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Zeledon Behe made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Erasto. Los Muchachos del 86's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Pabla was the one to do the kick off. Tiburcio Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Procopio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Erasto. Los Muchachos del 86's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Procopio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Arnulfo Procopio succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. In the 78th match minute, Chimborazo A.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Tello to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chimborazo A.F.C booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Pabla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Arnulfo Procopio sped through Los Muchachos del 86's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiro Erasto. Ramiro Erasto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnulfo Procopio's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute Arnulfo Procopio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match Chimborazo A.F.C got a corner. Los Muchachos del 86's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Camilo Berdaitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tiburcio Tello was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After having played for 91 minutes, Arnulfo Procopio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimborazo A.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Procopio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Erasto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnulfo Procopio's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Joel Pabla hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Chimborazo A.F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
