The audience cheered when Anacleto Franco's long shot passed Ramiro Erasto's right side. It was 1-0, 8 minutes into the match. Mario Mandzukic's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Ramiro Erasto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marcos Silviano struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ramiro Erasto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perros del sur. The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Perros del sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Eleder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Mario Mandzukic could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Ramiro Erasto however easily saved by the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Perros del sur's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Pabla came free, but Miguel Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marcos Silviano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perros del sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Silviano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Erasto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Perros del sur's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Pabla came free, but Miguel Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Mandzukic was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Perros del sur's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ramiro Erasto came out of the goal and Mario Mandzukic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcos Silviano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Perros del sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Silviano couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Los Muchachos del 86 defense, Marcos Silviano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Erasto. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Erasto should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Pabla to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Pabla in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Orlondon saved Perros del sur from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Mario Mandzukic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Erasto was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 58th minute Mario Mandzukic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Mario Mandzukic sped through Los Muchachos del 86's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiro Erasto. In the 71st minute, Marcos Silviano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramiro Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Mandzukic in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Perros del sur's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Pabla came free, but Miguel Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes, Mario Mandzukic made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Los Muchachos del 86's Ramiro Erasto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute Joel Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcos Silviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Silviano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Erasto having to make a save. Mario Mandzukic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ramiro Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Mandzukic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Perros del sur got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Silviano. Mario Mandzukic struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ramiro Erasto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perros del sur. In the 96th minute, Sergio Birjaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Perros del sur were the better team. Perros del sur's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
