If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristán Suárez FC were furious when Alvin Kilström was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Tristán Suárez FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SAN LORENZO FC:s goal. After 20 minutes, Honorato Ederono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tristán Suárez FC and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Honorato Ederono hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bonifacio Pinto came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Cordarrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tristán Suárez FC's Bonifacio Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 29th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Tristán Suárez FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Piearres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Lano in the 36th minute of play forced Tristán Suárez FC's goalkeeper Bonifacio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Santos Borré was the one to do the kick off. Raimundo Domiku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Santos Borré came free, but John Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The excitement rose when SAN LORENZO FC's Justino Quinito after 58 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Tristán Suárez FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. Tristán Suárez FC made a substitution. Lázaro Flores replaced Rafael Santos Borré. Ciriaco Cordarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bonifacio Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Cordarrell took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bonifacio Pinto. Bonifacio Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Ruperto Erlantz replaced Justino Quinito. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Aristides Castel replaced Ciriaco Cordarrell. After 71 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Froilan Jatsu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bonifacio Pinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tristán Suárez FC's Lázaro Flores got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roberto Monserrat kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match.
