Horacio Roderigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Oliverio having to interfere. Esteco were furious when Florentino Koldobika was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Esteco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Haze Fc:s goal. Perico Pérez had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnoldo Garci's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-0 came in the 48th minute when Arnoldo Garci all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Perico Pérez. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Christian Farias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ambrosio Oliverio made a huge save. Norberto Hechter struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ambrosio Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esteco.
