Froilan Quinito took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Frederico. Maximino Frederico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Maximino Frederico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Berbiz in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Antonio Berbiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Maximino Frederico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Mancio in the 53rd minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper Faustino Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvano Paulin took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Frederico. Maximino Frederico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10.
