Quique Iglesias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Urbasa in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Doping Positivo got a corner. Los Delfines's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damaso Udalaitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Doping Positivo's Camilo Aznar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Evelio Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, Doping Positivo's Mauro Telmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quique Iglesias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Costel Eta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Froilan Kimetz got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Costel Eta. 61 minutes into the game, Camilo Aznar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulo Lartaun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quique Iglesias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Mauro Telmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Delfines succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Doping Positivo had controlled the match.
