After 16 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Diagur. 18 minutes into the match, Amancio Abancens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Kelemen. Espirillo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amancio Abancens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Fulgencio Berto fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Candela FC's protests and gave Fulgencio Berto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Fulgencio Berto got a free kick in the 27th minute. Benigno Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Diagur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Daniel Diagur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Guillem was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Fulgencio Berto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Nestor Kelemen made a huge save. Benigno Guillem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Diagur in the 37th minute of the match. Javier Ondino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Daniel Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorel Amarandei made a kick off. After some careless play in the La Candela FC defense, David Corderun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benigno Guillem. The La Candela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Guillem should have stopped the shot. La Candela FC's Benigno Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Diagur in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesus Arias during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 62 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Berto came free, but Nestor Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute David Corderun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Berto in the 90th minute of play forced Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Nestor Kelemen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Kelemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Su in the 91st minute of play. After 94 minutes of play La Candela FC's Fulgencio Berto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 94 played minutes La Candela FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Berto. In the 95th match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Arias to maneuver through the defense. When Emiliano Chucho came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Espirillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Chucho couldn't finish the play. Espirillo FC played a much better game than La Candela FC and deserved their victory. The La Candela FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
