In the 8th minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tolek Mlekodaj ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Mattin. Ricardo Mattin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Jonatan Tolino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Maiorga was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tolek Mlekodaj got free with Ricardo Mattin in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo el Divague's Ricardo Mattin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ton Meulman in the 19th minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Stig-Åke Blomberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Mattin skillfully saved the ball. Ricardo Mattin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Blomberg in the 46th minute of play. Ricardo Mattin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Mlekodaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aureliano Eyague to make the kick off. If Tolek Mlekodaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Ton Meulman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mattin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Santo Gonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo el Divague's goalkeeper Ricardo Mattin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ton Meulman got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Gaspar Pomelov was substituted for Tolek Mlekodaj. Deportivo el Divague's Ricardo Mattin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Pomelov in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Húmi Pomelin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Mattin. Deportivo el Divague's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Húmi Pomelin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0.
