Maximiliano Astudillo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ubaldo Guifre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Gutxi in the 18th minute of play forced SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Ubaldo Guifre got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Ritchie in the 24th minute of play forced HFA FC's goalkeeper Atilano Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gutxi might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximiliano Astudillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Gutxi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ubaldo Guifre came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the HFA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Guifre couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Alejandro Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 32 minutes, Sebastian Turi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HFA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Turi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, HFA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Ciceron to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Abelardo Roland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, HFA FC's Marcelo Gutxi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maximiliano Astudillo. Maximiliano Astudillo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubaldo Guifre got free with Maximiliano Astudillo in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Roland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mauro Ordono hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Benjamin Abarca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Candido Estevon hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Bernardino Ospin from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Atilano Ted's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by HFA FC's Ubaldo Guifre. But to his dismay, Ubaldo Guifre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 83 minutes into the match, Marcelo Gutxi notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo. Maximiliano Astudillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ubaldo Guifre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Mendebal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Marcelo Gutxi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximiliano Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Maximiliano Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
