When Adan Francho came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the WINNING ELEVEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Francho couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute of the match, Rigoberto Hechter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Everardo Meder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Txerran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Hechter charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 28thth minute of the game Arsenio Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to C.A.Independiente getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Elias Petrigai hit a great ball. WINNING ELEVEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Adan Francho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Meder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39 minutes, Adan Francho made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Urre in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adan Francho made a kick off. Everardo Meder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adan Francho's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle got control of the ball when Reynaldo Urre tried to sneak it across the goal line. The WINNING ELEVEN fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A.Independiente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
