The referee ignored Pilar FC's protests and gave Samuel Onofre a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Fortun in the 28th minute of play forced ᑎᗝᖇ丅ᕼᗴᖇᑎ ᒪᎥǤᕼ丅ᔕ's goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Denis Sansone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Pilar FC's Denis Sansone slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Abbondanzieri. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Pilar FC's Roberto Abbondanzieri threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Denis Sansone, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Felix Firmo made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Samuel Onofre immediately put the ball in play. 44 minutes into the match, ᑎᗝᖇ丅ᕼᗴᖇᑎ ᒪᎥǤᕼ丅ᔕ's goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Sansone. Felix Jurdan hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Pilar FC's Felix Firmo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Roberto Abbondanzieri but with some difficulty. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliciano Batista was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes ᑎᗝᖇ丅ᕼᗴᖇᑎ ᒪᎥǤᕼ丅ᔕ got a freekick which was hit by Christian Caitano. The audience was convinced that Pablo Mouche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Abbondanzieri was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Denis Sansone took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Abbondanzieri. Roberto Abbondanzieri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alejandro Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Faro charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Faro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ᑎᗝᖇ丅ᕼᗴᖇᑎ ᒪᎥǤᕼ丅ᔕ's Ramiro Faro got a free kick in the 75th minute. Feliciano Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Pilar FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
