After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Benigno Conrao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitario Pincharrata's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Conrao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wei Fei Qi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st match minute, Universitario Pincharrata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Bilardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Aquilino Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Ralondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Conrao got free with Wei Fei Qi in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benigno Conrao made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Conrao came free, but Wei Fei Qi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Benigno Conrao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wei Fei Qi was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Wei Fei Qi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Conrao in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Ralondo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wei Fei Qi saved DeportivoIndependienteMDP from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Universitario Pincharrata were awarded a corner. Osvaldo Principe went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 75th minute, Osvaldo Principe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pedroso having to interfere. After 81 minutes DeportivoIndependienteMDP's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Luis Brown who took care of the corner kick.
