After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Victorino Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Ian Clementsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the San Martin de Tucuman defense, Ian Clementsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Peruxu. The San Martin de Tucuman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Peruxu should have stopped the shot.
