Telmo Zarra might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Berriotxoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telmo Zarra ran back to his position shaking his head. Nemesio Damario was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Nemesio Damario hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Telmo Zarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Nacional the free kick. Telmo Zarra kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Telmo Zarra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Rocendo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Nahuel Losada made a huge save.
