After some careless play in the Temperley defense, Placido Lia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Casse. The Temperley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Casse should have stopped the shot. Alberto Fernández hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Marcelo Nesto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Nesto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Nesto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Casse was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Pedro Salamon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Salamon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Jorge Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Inocente in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Salamon in the 31st minute of play forced Temperley's goalkeeper Hector Casse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Casse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Lia in the 41st minute of play. Placido Lia scored 4-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Casse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Temperley's Hector Casse got control of the ball when Placido Lia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeo Matthew to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Modesto Inocente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Inocente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After having played for 62 minutes, Placido Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alzaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alzaga FC's Humberto Manilan was substituted for Pedro Salamon. If Celedonio Erdiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Temperley getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Apolo Ramirez hit a great ball. Placido Lia scored 5-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Casse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hector Casse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Natalio Elivareo hit a great ball. Hector Casse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Lia in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Apolo Ramirez during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Temperley getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Apolo Ramirez hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Temperley players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Alzaga FC.
