Teodosio Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Fidele having to interfere. Leandro Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Filiberto Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Guillen in the 53rd minute of the match. Filiberto Fidele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Guillen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Club Atletico Los Andes's Enrique Garaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Ofelio in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Leandro Ofelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The El Retorno de Palermo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
