When Marcelino Betadur fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Calamuchita's protests and gave Marcelino Betadur a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.A. Calamuchita getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Marcelino Betadur hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, Don Malbec's Camilo Sexto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejandro Emesto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alejandro Emesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Nahia in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Figueroa got free with Basilio Sauveur in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Sexto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alejandro Emesto having to make a save. In the 23rd minute Braulio Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Black charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Black Black the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Don Malbec got a freekick which was hit by Black Black. In the 29th minute, Ted Lasso made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Emesto. C.A. Calamuchita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Camilo Sexto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolo Presebal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Basilio Sauveur made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Basilio Sauveur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 43 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Figueroa came free, but Basilio Sauveur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Don Malbec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Black Black to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A nice corner shot did that Ted Lasso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alejandro Emesto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The C.A. Calamuchita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Don Malbec were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camilo Sexto to make the kick off. Basilio Sauveur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Presebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calamuchita's Cristo Gotzon got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 81st match minute, Don Malbec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Black Black to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Gotzon in the 84th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Basilio Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Figueroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Basilio Sauveur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Wilfredo Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Don Malbec's Cayetano Eleder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cayetano Eleder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Don Malbec protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cayetano Eleder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 93 played minutes Don Malbec got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Eleder. After 94 played minutes, C.A. Calamuchita's Eliseo Iaki shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basilio Sauveur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A. Calamuchita reached it. Don Malbec's Basilio Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Figueroa in the 95th minute of play. Don Malbec's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
