Lisandro Gergori's late challenge caught a Characate FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Characate FC's Marcos Mederi got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Characate FC's Benjamin Price proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Characate FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE F.C. booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nemesio Tabb kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96thth minute of the game Loco Palermo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Fernando Perrando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
