Everardo Santxol came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Vinicio Reyes. But to his dismay, Vinicio Reyes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 19th minute, Club Atlético Ranchos's Fabricio Chinto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabricio Chinto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Ranchos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabricio Chinto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 20th minute, Fabricio Chinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Nafarroa didn't quite understand what happened when in the 21 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When Delmar Cordaryal fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Ranchos's protests and gave Delmar Cordaryal a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Gervasio Xabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Xabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca played a much better game than Club Atlético Ranchos and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Ranchos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
