The supporters of Ruquense FC booed when Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Palban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Txurio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Lain in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Salvadore in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Medero saved Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Paulino Lain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Txurio. Ruquense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Lain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Gerardo Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Mikelats in the 25th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Ruquense FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Garci. When Gerardo Etxepare came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Etxepare couldn't finish the play. In the 39th match minute, Ruquense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Mikelats in the 42nd minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Edgard Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Mikelats's late challenge caught a Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Mikelats helped the player get up and apologised. Amancio Mikelats hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ruquense FC's Aquilino Garci got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fermin Modestio during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Fermin Modestio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th match minute, Ruquense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Garci to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ulises Teofilio hit a great ball. Edgard Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Garci in the 68th minute of the match. Ruquense FC's Aquilino Garci got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Lain came free, but Anier Txurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Mikelats in the 82nd minute of play. When Gerardo Etxepare came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Etxepare couldn't finish the play. Amancio Mikelats who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Edgard Medero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anier Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Etxepare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
