Edgard Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Niguel in the 15th minute of the match. Angelino Ixona charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Ixona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Huckebein got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Ixona. The supporters of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC booed when Huckebein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Ixona didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Lain came free, but Camilo Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Gimenez in the 33rd minute of play. Alvaro Niguel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcelino Palban fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's protests and gave Marcelino Palban a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Palban to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC were awarded a corner. Gerardo Etxepare went to the cornerflag to take it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Huckebein's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC the free kick.
