Mauricio Luken kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Leonel Caponi fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Escocia's protests and gave Leonel Caponi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Volvio Moreno booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Caponi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Volvio Moreno's zone, Clemente Oroitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Venceslao came out of the goal and Clemente Oroitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anier Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Nahas in the 24th minute of play. When Volvio Moreno's Ambrosio Mano in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Escocia's goalie prevented a goal. Facundo Nahas took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Venceslao. Club Atlético Escocia's Jeronimo Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Mano in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Escocia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Remigio Santiago was slow to take the kick. During this time Volvio Moreno's players had a chance to rest. Baldomero Martinez made a great header on Volvio Moreno's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Escocia's Jeronimo Mon managed to reach the ball for a save. A nice corner shot did that Remigio Santiago got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeronimo Mon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Facundo Nahas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anier Venceslao was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The Volvio Moreno players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atlético Escocia were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodolfo Abalos was the one to do the kick off. Jeronimo Mon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Matias Checa hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Enrique Astrada fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anier Venceslao, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Volvio Moreno's Anier Venceslao got control of the ball when Filiberto Tolino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flavio Ricart got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Club Atlético Escocia getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Flavio Ricart hit a great ball. Enrique Astrada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Anier Venceslao when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Volvio Moreno getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ubaldo Bartolome hit a great ball. Club Atlético Escocia's Jeronimo Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Romano in the 93rd minute of play. The Volvio Moreno supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Escocia's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atlético Escocia.
