The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Unax didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Lucas Janson made a precise shot to the right of Herminio Iyan. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Cucao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the Maravilla defense, Lucas Janson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Iyan. The Maravilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Iyan should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Cucao came free, but Herminio Iyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimiro Ondino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Miguel Merentiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Saul Unax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Frontera AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maravilla throughout the match.
