Bartolo Amato came out of the goal and Lázaro Suárez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Gaudencio Emeterio hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Rufio. Gaudencio Emeterio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Melendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Ambrosio Lidon charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosio Lidon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Modesto Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Chucho's late challenge caught a Piquirenda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Chucho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Chucho to maneuver through the defense. Piquirenda FC's Serafin Igon got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
