But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Raymond couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, RACINGUS's goalkeeper Siro Errapel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ariel Damario. In the 9th minute, Amador Raymond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RACINGUS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of C. A. BELGRANO booed when RACINGUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Udalaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodosio Perfecto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Perfecto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, RACINGUS's Apolo Jax got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 28 played minutes RACINGUS got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Baladi. In the 29th match minute, RACINGUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Raymond to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Damario got free with Siro Errapel in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. BELGRANO's zone, Guaberto Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Perfecto came out of the goal and Guaberto Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, C. A. BELGRANO's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Raymond came free, but Teodosio Perfecto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RACINGUS's Siro Errapel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save RACINGUS from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Apolo Jax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Perfecto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Amador Mateus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jonas Marcones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Teodosio Perfecto made a huge save. C. A. BELGRANO's Teodosio Perfecto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. BELGRANO from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Damario in the 70th minute of play forced RACINGUS's goalkeeper Siro Errapel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Cordarrel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodosio Perfecto having to make a save. Teodosio Perfecto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Jax, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. C. A.
