Capdevilla's Alvaro Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Dantas in the 17th minute of play. From a short distance, Capdevilla's Benito Eskuin, in the 20th minute, tried to place the ball behind Cayetano Fanuco, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. In the 23rd minute Wilber McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Omero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ramos in the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pegaso's zone, Cesar Lucian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Fanuco came out of the goal and Cesar Lucian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Niceto Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pegaso's Cayetano Fanuco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Omero having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarbas Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
