The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Gaueko during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of EL CHINGOLO P C booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Gaueko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After taking down the ball on Unidad de Matanza's corner Elvio Urtungo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dávid Sebes quite easily take care of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Generoso Eufemio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Octavio Raymond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Astor Resto kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. EL CHINGOLO P C's Urbano Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Machado to make the kick off. Urbano Machado's late challenge caught a Unidad de Matanza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Machado helped the player get up and apologised. Urbano Machado hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After 72 minutes, Rigoberto Quintana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL CHINGOLO P C and the Unidad de Matanza players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, EL CHINGOLO P C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Quintana to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Rigoberto Quintana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Reynaldo Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
