In the 15th minute Gerardo Edur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Corderun in the 18th minute of play forced U21 Totoras F.C.'s goalkeeper Germán Burgos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Yo Soy Tu Padre getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Casimiro Benvido hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Gerardo Edur put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nery Pumpido. If Carmelo Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 53 played minutes Yo Soy Tu Padre got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Benvido. 56 minutes into the match, U21 Totoras F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Corderun came free, but Germán Burgos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germán Burgos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Mosen in the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Corderun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germán Burgos was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Germán Burgos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmondo Sarnelli in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nery Pumpido, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Yo Soy Tu Padre's zone, Gerardo Edur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal and Gerardo Edur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Totoras F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
