Arnoldo Licerio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Lekubegi came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnoldo Licerio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute of the match PINGO PINGO got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abelardo Ramos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desta Roy in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Licerio in the 44th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, PINGO PINGO's Bernabe Oto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Vachon to strike the kick off in the second half. Desta Roy scored 4-0 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Lekubegi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
