The supporters of Martin Palermo F.C. booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Deput didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's Jurand Deput sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martín Izquierdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Aimar in the 9th minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius got control of the ball when Sebastián Izquierdo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Benjamin Izquierdo got a free kick in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Izquierdo came free, but Robert Vassenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Vassenius made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Christian Izquierdo sent off a good shot on target. Jurand Deput's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martín Izquierdo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernand Redondo was slow to take the kick. During this time RB Chubut's players had a chance to rest. Martín Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurand Deput, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save RB Chubut from getting a goal against them. After 31 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Donostia. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jurand Deput managed to get in a good position for a shot. RB Chubut's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Deput was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martín Izquierdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Vassenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jurand Deput came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the RB Chubut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurand Deput couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benicio Izquierdo got free with Robert Vassenius in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martín Izquierdo came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by RB Chubut's Jurand Deput. But to his dismay, Jurand Deput quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Deput in the 42nd minute of the match. RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save RB Chubut from getting a goal against them.

RB Chubut's Isaac Mingo was substituted for Jurand Deput. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Aldo Mikolas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Martin Palermo F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamin Izquierdo in the 58th minute. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Benjamin Izquierdo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Robert Vassenius in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ruperto Porfirio made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Isaac Perrando. Isaac Mingo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Silvano Garcez got a free kick in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Isaac Mingo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Martín Izquierdo to make any attempt to save it. 73 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Mingo. RB Chubut's Maximino Aimar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ruperto Porfirio in the 76 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Isaac Mingo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martín Izquierdo. That made the score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, RB Chubut's Fernand Redondo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Martín Izquierdo. After 86 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Izquierdo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Mingo got free with Martín Izquierdo in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Guaberto Bibiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Benicio Izquierdo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Vassenius. RB Chubut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Izquierdo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Isaac Mingo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martín Izquierdo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Sebastián Izquierdo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. RB Chubut were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Martin Palermo F.C.'s much stronger midfield.
