Bernabe Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Jakobe in the 12th minute of play. Oddbjørn Haugli's late challenge caught a SABALEPLUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oddbjørn Haugli helped the player get up and apologised. Oddbjørn Haugli hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Oddbjørn Haugli sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Bernabe Hanot showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. A collision led to SABALEPLUS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gregorio Amaya hit a great ball. SABALEPLUS's Bernabe Hanot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Jakobe in the 20th minute of play. Bernabe Hanot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Jakobe's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Chiquinho Romero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Ferrando went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Ferrando in the 32nd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Chiquinho Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Arrecifes's Gilberto Jakobe made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Hanot was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute, Gilberto Jakobe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe Hanot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Gilberto Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, SABALEPLUS's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Jakobe came free, but Bernabe Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Unax kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Tab stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Arrecifes booed when SABALEPLUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Amaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Hanot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Jakobe in the 63rd minute of play forced SABALEPLUS's goalkeeper Bernabe Hanot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Gilberto Jakobe made a precise shot to the right of Bernabe Hanot. SABALEPLUS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Arrecifes's Elberg Monte was substituted for Ayi Sarumpaet. 70 minutes into the match, Igor Emmanuel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Hanot. SABALEPLUS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Emmanuel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. 73 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Tab came free, but Chiquinho Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Emmanuel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernabe Hanot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Igor Emmanuel took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Hanot. Bernabe Hanot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. After some careless play in the SABALEPLUS defense, Igor Emmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Hanot. The SABALEPLUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Hanot should have stopped the shot. Igor Emmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's Oddbjørn Haugli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernabe Hanot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Igor Emmanuel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernabe Hanot. That made the score 1-8 in the 90 minute of play. Bernabe Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Emmanuel in the 94th minute of play. Bernabe Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Emmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arrecifes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
