The referee ignored CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's protests and gave Lázaro Calvet a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clemente Aurken charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Aurken the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silverio Cresenciano came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's Roque Adrio. But to his dismay, Roque Adrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's Roque Adrio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lázaro Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Cresenciano having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Victoriano Libertad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's Roque Adrio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silverio Cresenciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. During the 39th minute of the match Lázaro Calvet completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lázaro Calvet a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Juventud Obrera CSD booed when CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Juventud Obrera CSD's Eugenio Ixaka got a free kick in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Edelmiro Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Havier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Cresenciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roque Adrio to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Jaime Reno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventud Obrera CSD the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Roque Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUB ATLETICO MALANDRAS played a much better game than Juventud Obrera CSD and deserved their victory. The Juventud Obrera CSD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
