Roberto Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Abeitia in the 12th minute of the match. Claudio Frances was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeremias Regis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Claudio Frances made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Generoso Gomesano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Temperley's Nicolas Lorien got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Fabian Ixidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Ixidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Frances breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benicio Jaen in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Frances prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Frances made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 37th minute, Leon Platense's Benito Ixona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudio Frances. Claudio Frances yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Gomesano in the 41st minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Claudio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Regis in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Claudio Frances had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Ixona. 46 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Frances made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benito Ixona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Frances was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Jaen in the 58th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Claudio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Jeremias Regis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Frances. Club Atlético Temperley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Regis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Claudio Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Ixona in the 66th minute of play. Claudio Frances was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute, Benito Ixona made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Frances. Club Atlético Temperley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Claudio Frances came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Platense's Generoso Gomesano. But to his dismay, Generoso Gomesano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After a rather tough play, Leon Platense's Guaberto Gudesteo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Leon Platense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
